Is an ambitious transdisciplinary project in which dance, performance, philosophy, geography and environmental studies are brought together to explore the human experience of climate change with an emphasis on the next generation.
My name is Sivan Rubinstein. I am a dance choreographer and King’s College Artist in residance 2019-20.
This is a creation process rather than a performance space where we explore embodied knowledge and collectivism.

During my creative process, I have been thinking about the nature of time and how time figures in our perception of climate change. How can we bring the urgency of the crisis into our minds and bodies and behaviour in the present? I have been thinking about the meaning of home, from the large and distant (the planet as a home) to the small and near (the body as a home).
Another theme for me has been layers: the layers of rock forming our planet, the layers contributed by multiple disciplines and approaches, the layers of different generations and perspectives, the layers of time.
